I got up and made the train today again. I continued my proof reading on the way in. At work the queue was pretty quiet, I got it all cleared before lunch. At lunch we were six, but not playing Carassonne today, but rather Alhambra (I believe it is called). Ryan and I left a bit early as he needed to go get more coffee. After lunch the queue remained quiet so I got to polish a patch up. As I was about to read a critical came in, but I could not help with it. We left and were on the 16.24 train home. Perhaps this week I will work the correct amount of hours! At home my new laptop had arrived. I did not get any time to actually set it up though, maybe tomorrow.

I got up again this morning and left for the station. Jessica said last night she was going to have breakfast with me, but of course in the morning the bed was too comfy to get out of. I snoozed a bit on the train in which was nice. At work it was business as usual. People were off sick so I expected to get more cases, but nothing much showed up, one or two cases that would probably not have been escalated had everyone been there. Given that the queue was so empty it was not a problem. Ryan and I left in time to be on the 16.24 train home. In Glenbrook I hurried up the hill (new personal best I think, 7 minutes from the station to home) and went straight to Sofia's preschool as there was a meeting there. It was about school readiness. It was interesting but somewhat long. After meeting we went and picked up the girls from granny and went home and had dinner. The girls were both very tired and were soon in bed.

I slept in a few minutes this morning and so had to run for the train. I did make it though. I snoozed to Emu Plains after which I woke up and had a quiet slow talk to Ryan about this and that. It is is good though. At work it was business as usual. Nothing really interesting. At lunch I spoke with Nali about her tribunal hearing and how she had won it. Very good she actually stood up and fought, and even better that she won. I also went to the bank and deposited some money. Back in the office it was more of the same old same old. We left in time for the 16.24 which was good. At home we had two very tired girls on our hands but both of them were behaving pretty well. They were in bed early. I had to have my phone on as I had to be on call for an upgrade. Nothing happened though so it was all good.

I got up at seven thirty this morning and had breakfast and started watching a movie while Jessica and the girls slept. At around eight thirty I had a shower and while I was in the shower the girls got up. Once we were all breakfasted and ready we went out and hung a load of laundry as the weather was sunny and nice. With the laundry out we went over to number thirty for some morning tea and also to borrow Bryan's electrical cleaning gear. While there I helped fix (maybe? not sure actually) one of Bryan's multimeters and also gave some thoughts on why their electric fence were not working. Back home again we had lunch and then I crawled under the house and cleared the connections and changed the splitter from a very rusty one to a spare one that Brian had found around the house. It did not problem unfortunately, I think the next step is to point the aerial more carefully. With that done I came in and had some fika. After fika I played briefly with Sofia before doing more stuff with our pvr's. We then did the usual Sunday stuff and ended it all with giving me a haircut. As we were doing that the rain started falling and we felt good about having done the rubbish, gotten the laundry in and not having to go out again that day. Inside I cooked dinner before we retired for the evening.

Today was sleeping in time so we all slept to around 8:30 which was nice! While technically we were awake around 7:30 we did not have to get up until an hour later. The day was miserable with light rain pretty much all day. We made a cake in the morning and took it over to number thirty for morning tea. We stayed there until lunch, but given that we arrived at around 10:45 it was not all that long.Back home again we had lunch. After lunch we popped a tired Evie in bed and I moved our old pvr back out into the main room. I built a little wooden stand for it so it could be on top of the PS3 without actually sitting straight on top of it. While the glue in the stand was drying I crawled under the house to look at our splitter. It looked pretty rusty and bad in one of the connections so I may clean that up tomorrow if I can borrow the cleaning stuff from Bryan. In the evening we spoke to my parents as usual.

I got up and made the train again this morning. Have had a pretty good track record lately in that regard. It was quite warm in the morning. I snoozed a bit on the train and then continued my proof reading. At work I had a number of escalations but I dealt with all of them during the day. I went for a coffee with Tim in the morning. During lunch I played Carcassonne again with Nabeelah, Charles and Peggy. It was good. And it is interesting how viral it is, more and more people come around and look and talk and also join us.After lunch I had a long discussion with Tim on a number of things, but mainly a support case he had. In the afternoon I had a discussion with John around our support policies. After that I had a case to deal with and then I went down and watched some demos and then I went on the 4.24 train home.

I got up and made the train today, which is always good. I continued proof reading on the way in. Nearly done now, up to page 87 of 155. At work the queue was quiet so I got to finish polishing up my performance fix. I delivered that at the end of the day. During lunch we went out for a team lunch and we went to a Thai place. I had pad Thai, which is always a safe bet. They put some chilli powder on there, but I stayed away from it. Before I left I got information that there were 'major delays' on all western train lines. Sigh. So I ensured I left in time for the 16.24 as a delayed 16.24 should still take me home in reasonable time. By the time I made it to Central, and the train was leaving it was probably 16.30. The train was about 15 minutes late into Glenbrook, which is pretty acceptable after all. Not as bad as they advised on the website. At home I spoke with farmor Ulla as usual for Thursdays.

I got up today and made the train as usual. I did a bit of proof reading on the train in. At work it was business as usual I must say. the queue was quiet so I worked on a fix to speed up a certain part of the app. The test data I had it took 40 minutes on Tim's machine to do this thing. I tried it on my machine after I had hacked up the patch, and it took 2 and a bit minutes. Decent improvement. So I thought I'd better try without the patch so I can make a proper comparison. When I left it had been going for an hour and a bit. So I'm reasonably pleased with my work. At lunch we played Carcassonne again, attracting more and more spectators. We were on the normal 4.53 train home today.

I got up and made the train in the morning which was good. Going over the bridge I noticed that the Nepean river has dropped significantly so that's good. At work it was support as usual Nothing really interesting happening there. Got a few escalations but nothing really special. I played board games with Peggy and Nabeelah during lunch. I also forgot to bring Evie's passport application over so after lunch I had to rush over and get Nabeelah to witness me sign it. Back at my desk it was onwards with the support work. Ryan and I left on the 4.24 train which was nice. At home Sofia had face paint. She was a bee. She was quite happy about it.

Jessica was up last night chasing a cockroach in our room. I slept through most of it. I got up in the morning though and made the train. Work was quite busy, which was pretty good. I had lunch with Partha today, as he is my buddy, which was good. After lunch it was normal work again. Nothing really interesting happening. At home it was the usual stuff. At eight I had to sit through a deployment again, from eight to ten. Which was a bit boring, but hey I get a day of leave out of this. Nothing happened though so it was easy.
