I got up and made the train. I read my book on the train in. At work it was not much to do, I had expected to move desks today given I had been given a 'yes' to my secondment, but as always things were delayed and I have to remain a week or more. Sigh. We played Carcassonne during lunch, Ryan won today. After lunch it was much of the same as before. More of the stuffing around with my secondment. I'm talking to pretty much four people and all four say different things. We left in time to make the 16.53 today.

I got up as usual today, while I was having breakfast Sofia called out 'I need to go to the toilet". So I opened the door and told her that she does not need to scream for that, just go to the toilet. When I was done with the breakfast she came back out and wanted to wash her hands, so I turned on the tap for her. I tried to shave while she was there. It was not easy, as she can obviously not just wash her hands and go back to bed, she had to play a bit. I told her enough, and sent her back to bed. At which point the other one woke up and demanded attention. So I dropped her off in bed with Jessica and then finished getting ready. I made the train. I finished reading Lexicon on the way in. The train was delayed maybe 20 minutes or so due to a passenger needing ambulance attention in a train in front of us.  At work I was informed my secondment was delayed, sigh. Work was as work is most. During lunch Ryan went and looked for a bag and a few other bits and pieces. After lunch I handed over the teamleading to Anatoli. Ryan and I left in time to be on the 16.24 train home.

With Sunday rolling around it was my day to get up early. I did not quite manage, I got up at seven thirty. Jessica got up around the same time, giving up her sleep-in, to go for a walk. The girls got up shortly after. I had put on a load of laundry before breakfast so after breakfast we went and hung it out. Evie was very tired so she got a forty minute nap while we were out. Back in again I patched the mouse hole, again, this time I reinforced it with steel wool to make it hard to chew through. I also managed to squeeze in a bit of Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. After lunch I got the board out of our living room and continued work on it. Around fika time we put Alfie and Bertie into their new cage and moved them outside. After fika it was the normal Sunday stuff that needed to be done.

Seeing as it was Saturday I slept in. I got out of bed at around eight. Jessica had gone up at around seven thirty or so and gone for a walk. After breakfast we put on a load of laundry and then got ourselves ready and walked over to granny for morning tea. From there it was back for lunch. After lunch I patched a hole in the floor we think bugs and mice use to get in through. The hole has been there the whole time, we've just neglected to fill it. With that done I got the board out of our living room and patched that as well. Then it was afternoon tea time. After tea I got a video converted and transferred to the psp. In the late afternoon we spoke to my parents as usual. It was actually a quite quiet day. In the evening I tried to get a CUDA emulator working, without success.

It was warmer in the morning, but still not 'warm'. I got down and made the train. I started reading Joey's story Lexicon on the way in. At work I finally managed to get stuff done that should have taken me far less time to do. During lunch we played Carcassone but it was only the two of us so it was not really an excellent game. After lunch it was back to same old same old. Seems my secondment keeps being postponed, but I expect nothing less when no one gives a definite answer. A rather uninteresting day, but it was a short week which was good.

Today was back at work after yesterday's midweek break. It felt like Monday. At work I was not feeling all that great, but not bad enough to go home. Just an unsettled tummy. The morning was spent merging, and then it was off to meetings. Discussion around lots of things, I had a late lunch at 13:30 or so, I found one lone person to trick into a Carcassonne game. He had been to the real Carcarssonne which was interesting of course. After lunch I had a few other meetings before it was time to go home again. Me not feeling really well meant we went on the 16:24 train home. At home it was dinner and then a quick phone call to farmor Ulla as usual for Thursdays.

Today was a public holiday (ANZAC day to be precise). To that end we had no hurry to get out of bed this morning. I got up at around eight and Sofia and Evie shortly after. Jessica stayed in bed perhaps half an hour or so longer. After breakfast we baked ANZAC biscuits, since it is always nice with fresh stuff and it was a bit cool so running the oven felt nice. With two batches done we put them in a box and walked over to granny for some morning tea. From there it was home and lunch. We popped Evie in bed and then went out and cleaned a pram and did a first pass at cleaning our bags for our travels. In the evening we just fiddled around at home. I installed Mageia 2 beta 3 on my laptop and a few other things. It was a nice quiet day, however it was a bit cool with a max of around 19 (15 in the house when I got up in the morning).

I got up and got to the train today. It was a bit cool in the morning but not really cool. I read a bit on the way in and continued talking to Ryan once he got on. At work I desperately tried to finish all the things I've got hanging before I go on my secondment. While I've yet to receive a definite 'yes' I even have a date for it now, so it seems pretty certain. We played Dominion during lunch and Nabeelah won as usual. After lunch it was planning meeting and then back to trying to get stuff to work.

I got up and shaved! I had not shaved for so many weeks, but now I'm back to my normal routine, I made the train and even had time to buy a ticket, which was good. On the train I kind of expected to be tired but I did not feel tired so I got out my book and read. I did not get all that much reading done though as Ryan got on and of course we had to talk a bit. At work I spent the day with meetings, trying to get stuff done and plan the next iteration. I had lunch late, and we played Carcassonne. I can't really remember who won, I think it was maybe me, but I can't really remember, which just goes to show how important winning was. After lunch I continued with the same things. We left in time to make the 16:53 train. On the train I saw the most amazing sunset. I did not read as much as thought I would because I had to enjoy it. At home I had two tired girls, but dinner was easy as they both enjoyed it.

Jessica and I got up at around 6:30 today and quickly had breakfast. I then started making lunch while Jessica got the girls up and fed them breakfast. We left and were on the 8:22 train to the City. After a long train ride we arrived at Central and bought some morning tea and then headed to Tumbalong park in Darling Harbour. There we met Matthew and Naomi and Sofia got to play in the water, the sand, and all the other things. She must have been running constantly for well over an hour. I do not know where she gets the energy from. We stayed until about eleven thirty and then headed off towards Central again. We ate our lunch on the 12:18 train home. At home Jessica baked a cake before she went off with Sofia to a mothersgroup gathering. I stayed home and put Evie to bed, and did domestic duties. Jessica came back home around five or so. We had dinner and soon put a very tired Sofia to bed and a reasonably tired Evie in bed. We then booked a flight to Melbourne, so we can practise flying with two little girls.
