Diary
The day after a late night
Feb 17, 2012
Lets quickly start with yesterday. I went to work at normal time, did a really long day (around 9 hours actually). After work I met Jessica and we went to PeaceHarmony for dinner and then we walked to Cocklebay wharf and walked along the water to Tumbalong park and then from there to the Sydney Entertainment Centre. We quickly found our door but did not go in, instead we went and got some desert and then we went in. We found our seats easily. It was pretty far from the stage but not too bad. The warmup band was loud, making me long for my ear plugs which I had forgotten at home. Roxette came on at around nine and had a really good show. We got out of there around 22:40, a quick walk to Central and we were on the 23:18 train home. We arrived home at around 1. We went straight to bed and I slept very soon after. Today I got up at seven thirty and went to work. Luckily work was at home, as I had already arranged to work from home. I was struggling with MongoDB and the data we had in there. I gave up around lunch. After lunch I worked on using git bisect to work out which commit broke our performance. It took me quite a while to get all the moving parts sorted. I believe I have now got a nice script that will let me track it down. I ran it in the evening and due to some narrow defaults it did not track down the commit but the script worked. We went to number thirty for dinner as it was Bryan's birthday.
