Daniel's Diary

I was very tired in the morning but still made my train. At work I was working on various bug fixes and a few other bits and pieces. During lunch I went out to a place I have never been before, Town Hall Square, which was at the end of Kent st. Why go there? Well that was the closest shop for a book store I was going to. They did not (of course) have the books I wanted in, but now they are on order so any day now I'll go and pick them up. After lunch it was same old, same old.

Today was pretty busy, not too bad but still things to do throughout the day. As such there is nothing much to blog about. During lunch I went to Frame to return some books I had borrowed before I left. I had a nice chat with Elena (the receptionist) before I went back to work. Nothing much else happened today.

Sofia was up late last night being a very silly and annoying girl, as a consequence I was tired in the morning. I did not trust myself to not go back to sleep so I was up early. At work it was work as work is most. Nothing dramatic happened. We went out to Peace Harmony (vegetarian restaurant) for team lunch which was nice. After lunch I was working away on my documentation. Still trying to get #@$%@!$#^$#@ maven to do the right thing. I can get ant to do it, but maven does not have enough documentation to help me figure out what the problem is. I made some progress though.

We slept in a bit today and got out of bed at around 8:30. The day was spent doing nothing much. We went down to the village for some supplies in the morning and a play in the park for some of us. Jessica and I did house work while Sofia was in bed. When she was up again we went over to number thirty and did some computer stuff and Sofia enjoyed playing with Jane. In the evening Sofia refused to sleep and is still up, silly girl. Hopefully she will go to sleep soon and let us sleep the whole night.

We got up reasonably early today as Bryan was coming and picking us up at 7:30 for a quick bloodtest at Blaxland. I was second in line so that meant I was out again at about 8:10 which was good. From there we had morning tea and then Bryan had offered to pick us up so we got driven to Penrith where we went and looked for a printer. They did not have any in stock, so having all this money to spend we went to Jessica's old work and bought some fruit and veg. From there it was home to number 30 for another cup and taking a camera apart (to get to the ccd and card writer, more about that later, I hope). In the afternoon we were just muddling at home. Sofia slept little in the afternoon. We spoke to my parents today and soon it was time for the fusspot to go to bed and she refused. It took well over an hour to get her to bed.

Sofia was up two and a half hours being very annoying last nigh. I still made it up in time for the train. Work was slow and made me want to go home early. I went for my usual walk during lunch and got rained on. Luckily for me I had brought an umbrella with me. I got rained on on the way to town hall. The train stopped in Penrith because "a malfunction was faulty", so I was late home. At home Sofia was a bit annoying around bed time, stupid vaccination.

Today was a special day for two reasons. First off the day was as days are most these days. Hurrying to get things done in time for release. During lunch special thing 1 happened, namely that we went out with the photo group again. It was a good session, we "paired" up and went out with a theme. It was all good if a bit warm in the sun. On the way home I got a small bottle bubbly wine as today was the day. The day of what? The last X-files episode! We have now watched each and every X-files episode! It took us over three years, it started over on Explorers road, and we have now finished it. I think they made the same mistake as many other series and ended a season or two too late.

Today was like any other day, really, for me. For Sofia though it was immunisation day, and the doctor had to look in her ears, weigh her and measure her. As you see all horrible things. About an hour later it was all forgotten of course. During lunch I went over to Frame to pick up a keyboard I had left there. I had a nice chat with the people there. Other than that nothing interesting happened today.

It was cool in the morning, you can tell autumn is getting here. The day at work was as work is most, really. I ventured out and across the bridge as usual during my lunch break. At home we received a note informing us of a parcel that could not be delivered (because no one was home). We have no idea what this is, and it is with a courier service so it is very intriguing, have to wait until Thursday to find out what it is.

It was coolish in the morning, autumn is really getting closer. The day was pretty good. We went out for team lunch (as usual on Mondays). It was pouring down when we were getting ready to go. Luckily for me I had brought my umbrella. In the afternoon I finally got maven to generate documentation from the wadl file I had it generate last friday. Now I just have to clean stuff up and we should get the doco generated, very good!
